PUSTRA
BASE

Bruneck & Niederdorf

For ski run fanatics and quiet seekers

In winter, being close to nature is always an extraordinary experience. Whether you like skating, skiing, snowshoeing or simply making your way through snowy paths, the Pustertal valley offers a surprising variety of options. And the scenery never fails to amaze!

Skifahren Dolomiten

Skiing and snowboarding

A wide choice of ski runs, short journeys, free ski buses and perfect infrastructures: the Kronplatz ski area is a dream come true, and easily reached from virtually any location in the Pustertal Valley. You can reach the Helm and Haunold ski areas by train or bus for free, and in the nearby Ahrntal valley there is the Speikboden ski area – a little gem for connoisseurs. If you are into ski touring, you won’t be disappointed either.

Dolomiten Langlauf

Cross-country skiing

The Three Peaks Dolomites area alone boasts 200 km of cross-country ski trails, and offers exciting events such as the Tour de Ski, the Pustertal Ski Marathon and the Toblach-Cortina fun run

Winter walks

Few things are as awe-inspiring as the Dolomites in winter… explore the fairy-tale snowscape walking or snowshoeing along a wealth of idyllic paths

Wintersport in Bruneck

Ice skating

Ice skating is an ageless pleasure… in which you can indulge to your heart’s content, either in the village just around the corner from our apartments, or a little further away on the many natural ice rinks in Gais, St. Lorenzen or Issing. Ice hockey fan? Then drop in at the new ice hockey arena in Bruneck – you can hire your skates directly on site

Tobogganing

The Bruneck area has excellent easy and medium-difficulty toboggan runs, like the ones around Wielenberg/Unterwielenbach, in Stefansdorf and Olang, where you can sledge downhill for 7 kilometres. Night tobogganing adds a nice romantic touch – we recommend the run from the Fane Alm Alpine village to Vals

Skitouren Dolomiten

Ski touring

Both the Kronplatz area and the Hochpustertal valley offer plenty of ski tours to choose from for those who love the backcountry side of skiing

A carriage ride around the Toblach lake Tobogganing

It is not as famous as Lake Prags, but it’s definitely just as spectacular: the Toblach lake is a natural spectacle in every season, but in winter a special highlight is offered that will melt romantic hearts: a carriage ride around the lake!

Tobogganing

The Rotwand/Sexten ski area has a 5-km toboggan run, with a starting line that you can reach either by cable car or – if you prefer – on foot. The Haunold ski area and the area surrounding Innichen offer family-friendly toboggan runs, while Bodenwiese, a medium-difficulty natural toboggan run in Innichen, is perfect for the more demanding tobogganers.
