Bruneck is an ancient town with a modern soul. Maybe it’s because of its faceted offer, or perhaps it’s due to its citizens’ openness to new things and laid-back attitude… who knows! One thing is certain, though: shopping is one of the local sports, with countless fashion shops to explore.

Highlights in Bruneck

Weihnachtsmarkt in Bruneck

Everybody loves the Christmas market in Bruneck, with its warm, convivial hustle and bustle. Some go there for the mulled wine and roasted chestnuts or to browse the stalls for a special gift, while others simply enjoy the unique atmosphere.

The “Pustra”, as the Pustertal valley people are called in the local dialect, have a bit of a reputation as party animals. Take a look at the events calendar, and you’ll see why. Open-air festivals, concerts, balls, the traditional town festival every two years and late-night shopping are all well-established events, and the list is constantly being expanded with new, exciting additions.
